As you can see, the picture on the top is the same picture as the picture on the bottom but it has a different look to it. In order to do this:
1. Go to the layers palette, right click on the background layer, click on duplicate layer, and click okay.
2. Next, go to the top of the screen and click on image, go down to adjustments, and click on desaturate.
- This allows all of the color to be removed from the photo.
4. Dealing with this new layer, go back up to the image menu at the top of the screen and scroll down to adjustments again. Then click on invert.
- This causes the light areas of the photo to be dark and the dark areas of the photo to be dark.
- This should make most of the photo look completely white.
- You should see the same photo but as a sketch.
8. Change the blend mode again from normal to multiply and change the opacity to around 65% depending on your opinion it could be different.
- This darkens the lines of the sketch to make it look more detailed.
10. Then click on it and drag it to the very top of the layers panel.
11. After that, change the blend mode again from normal to color and opacity to around 50% depending on how you think it looks best.
Then you will get something that looks like my second picture. Hope you enjoyed this!
